Each January, the new year brings with it the opportunity for Co-op members to help with Inventory! You may have heard the saying “Many hands make light work!” and if you can, please lend a hand.
PURPOSE: Log the Co-op’s retail inventory
WHEN: Friday, January 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM. and Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 9:00 AM, until we are finished.
WHAT: On Friday, all backstock and one department will be inventoried. On Saturday, all remaining departments and stock will be inventoried.
HOW: Please use sign-up sheets located at both registers in the front of the store. Or, you may call Carol or Jana at the Co-op, 541-523-6281. We will appreciate your help!
This month, there is another opportunity for members to be involved. You can help the Co-op and its future goals by attending this month’s quarterly MEMBER-OWNER MEETING on January 27 at 7:00 PM. While every Co-op Member-owner meeting is important, the January meeting is especially so, as your participation is vital for the Co-op to function well. The Agenda for this meeting includes the selection of a nominating committee, which will present to the membership a list of candidates for Board positions. The Co-op Board of Directors has a vital role in the smooth running and prosperity of the Co-op. If you are interested in presenting your name for a position on the Board, you may contact the people on the nominating committee. The committee member’s names will be listed in next month’s newsletter and on the Co-op’s website. Further business will include a second reading and a vote on several Co-op Bylaw changes.
